The CTET is one of the most recognized teaching exams in India, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is mandatory for candidates who wish to teach at primary (Class 1-5) and upper primary (Class 6-8) levels in schools under the central government, such as those affiliated with CBSE, KVS, and NVS. The CTET exam is held twice a year and consists of two papers:

  • Paper 1: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1-5 (Primary Teachers).
  • Paper 2: For candidates aspiring to teach Classes 6-8 (Upper Primary Teachers).

Candidates must have a minimum qualification of a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) and meet other eligibility criteria to apply. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that test a candidate's knowledge in subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and more.
